Grete Suarez has chased rogue traders, globetrotted five continents, and uneasily shaken hands with shady politicians. A journalist and filmmaker from downunder, her directorial debut THE REPEATER premiered at Screamfest LA and was selected in 40+ international film festivals including Oscar-qualifying Krakow Film Festival.

She’s also co-writer of feature KEPLER SEXTO B starring Spanish actor Karra Elejalde premiered at the Málaga Film Festival and was released in Spanish theaters on June 2023. It won 8 awards including Best Screenplay at the Berlanga Awards presented by Acadèmia Valenciana de l'Audiovisual and the Institut Valencià de Cultura.

Grete's screenplays have also earned accolades with Stowe Story Labs, Final Draft Big Break as well as the Screencraft TV Pilot Launch.

Asian by heritage, Grete grew up as an outsider from a dysfunctional family and has confronted adverse situations due to her ethnicity, an experience that blends into her writing. Her stories seek to pack a punch and provoke.
