Grete Suarez is an Asian-Australian filmmaker and journalist with a passion to tell social stories from underrepresented point-of-views.

Her first narrative short film THE REPEATER, a supernatural dark comedy, premiered at Screamfest in The Chinese Theater, Los Angeles. It is currently in the festival circuit and has already been selected in numerous festivals around the world including Oscar-qualifying Krakow Film Festival, Trieste Science+Fiction, and Seminci in Spain.

Grete is also the co-writer of KEPLER SEXTO B, a social SciFi feature film starring Karra Elejaldre and directed by Alejandro Suarez Lozano premiering in 2022.

Her feature script LITTLE FOODIE is a Stowe Story Labs Selected Project, HEATHENS is a Final Draft Big Break Quarterfinalist, and GRAY COLLAR is a Screencraft TV Pilot Launch Quarterfinalist.

Prior to reincarnating to film, Grete was a producer-journalist at CNN, Fox Business and Yahoo Finance, and that’s not all. Before journalism, she was a bank detective seeking out bad actors straight out of Michael Lewis' books at major financial institutions including State Street Global Advisors, JP Morgan, and Deloitte.

Grete's extensive life experiences inspire all her stories with a foot in the real world because as always, reality is stranger than fiction.
